Would You Still?

If I fell apart at your feet, would you still hold me?

If I exposed my every weakness to you, all alone, in the darkness of your room, would you still love me?

If you could see, really see, into the heart of me,

Would you still want me?

If I shared every fear with you, every anticipation, every illusion, every nightmare, would you still sleep beside me?

I need to know that you will be there. No matter what. Close. And, sometimes, even closer.

I can be the strength that you need. But, I need to know I can be weak. I need to know I can fall off that cliff and you will be there to catch me.

Pleasing you is what I live for. I wont always succeed, but, I will do my very best to make you proud - to make you smile, ear to ear. To make you giddy with joy and content with what we have and what we will be.

If I lift the veil and expose the delicate, the vunerable, would you still be there?

It's your strength and dominance that feeds my soul. It's what makes my heart beat. It's my very breath. As much as I want perfection from both you and I, I have to remember, we are both only human. I will fail you, and you me.

I just need to know that you will catch me when I fall - as I will catch you.
